As I’m sure you know by now, Microsoft have been offering a free upgrade to Windows 10 for quite a while now, but it’s now less than a week until the offer expires. If you still have computers that are still running on Windows 7 or 8, this is for you.

Despite the guerilla tactics to get people to take the upgrade, I have to admit – Windows 10 is by far the best operating system from Microsoft so far. There have been quite a few objections about the upgrade, so I’m going to go through some of these, along with a two-part video tutorial on “Windows 10 Upgrade Without Tears” which will show you how to take the plunge in just a few minutes with zero risk of “messing it up”. All for FREE, just for being an awesome customer over the years.

First thing’s first, let’s tackle some of the objections I hear all the time.

1. “A friend of mine tried and it messed up their computer”.

I’ve seen this a fair bit over the last year, but it’s no-where near as bad as it seems. Most cases where a system did not function properly after the upgrade was caused by hardware failure, which would have crashed the system sooner or later anyway. It’s also worth noting that the upgrade process has become far more reliable over the last few months, and I’ve never seen anyone permanently lose their data from it going wrong. With a decent backup system (which I will go over in Part 1 of my video tutorial), this can be completely avoided.

2. “My computer works fine the way it is and I don’t want to change anything”.

I get it. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it right? Plus, learning a new operating system can be a chore. Your primary objective when it comes to computers is to make things simple and easy… which means it would be a good idea to upgrade. Yes, you heard me there. Windows 10 is packed with some great features that make daily tasks easier than ever, whilst improving performance at the same time. It’s also a lot more secure and will be supported for longer so the likelyhood of getting hit by a painful infection is a lot lower. Yes, it’s a little different, but once you check out Part 2 of our tutorial on making the most of Windows 10, you won’t be looking back. Besides, you can always roll back if you don’t like it.

3. “Windows 10 has ads and collects personal data!”

Yes, this is true. It’s no secret that Microsoft are changing the way that they monetise Windows through sponsored content and anonymised usage metrics. However, this doesn’t mean you have to participate. Part 2 of our tutorial will go over how to permanently disable all sponsored content and data collection in a matter of minutes.

4. “It sounds too hard, and I just don’t have time for it.”

No problem! We can do a CLEAN install our own optimised version of Windows 10 for you for only $60 (assuming you have your system backed up), which includes all our tweaks and tips and will make your computer run better than ever before. If you need us to transfer your data across for you, we can do that for $35. Considering that a Windows 10 licence will cost $135 just by itself, it’s TOTALLY worth it to get it done before the 29th. My team will be working round the clock until the 29th to fit everyone in – get in touch with us and we’ll make it happen.
