Technical IT Trainee Position - Flexible Hours, Hands-on Training

Amigo Technology is an IT service business and Managed Service Provider (MSP), located on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. We have been operating for over 10 years, with the goal of making computers and technology friendlier to our awesome small business clients. Ready to join? Here’s what you’ll need:

  • A keen interest in working with and growing your skill sets through a wide variety of modern computing technologies (both Windows and Linux – bonus points if you have a home lab!)
  • A high level of attention to detail (you must put the word “AMIGO” in the “Additional Comments” section of our application form to be considered)
  • A minimum of a provisional drivers licence (licenced for manual transmission recommended)

Your duties will include the following:

  • Performing hardware repairs, upgrades & installation on desktops, laptops and servers
  • Processing technical support requests, enquiries and system alerts via remote support session, in-person and on-site
  • Coordinating with remote team on service tickets, projects and tasks, including setting up, migrating, monitoring, documenting and securing technical systems, such as workstations, servers and network infrastructure
  • Organising physical inventory and maintaining workshop operations
